Macau HK Trip – Day 1

Flight to Macau is delayed by an hour. But when we landed in Macau’s international airport around 9pm, I was awed with the City of Lights. It was indeed an spectacular sight to behold. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to capture the beautiful lights because cameras are not allowed in the airport. Such discipline for security measures. =) These are the closest we can sneak in.

After the immigration, we headed off to ride a cab to Auguster’s Lodge. We were surprised when we buzzed and somebody opened the door and said, “Pasok!”. Pinay! =)) After settling our deposit and fixing our things, we went out to get a hopefully decent and authentic chinese dinner. Little did we know that we are in for a surprise. No more restaurants are open in the area around 11pm! Okay fine. Mc Donald’s it is. I asked for a rice meal, but McDo’s there do not have rice. Enngkks.

Our authentic Chinese Dinner became... Mcdo @_@

Armed with some maps and cameras, we decided to explore a little further after the Mcdo dinner. Since Macau is just a small city, most of the tourist spots are of “walking distance”. We’re on our way to Senado Square and we spotted this some sorta nice edifice, which apparently is Macau’s Post office. Naturally, we stopped and posed for pics. (syempre naman dba? =)) A guy came over and asked if he could take a picture. I thought he’s a local and he’s just being nice and he will take OUR picture. Buuuut NOOOO. Here’s him and Angel.

Stranger in Macau!

I was so scared when he walked towards me, I literally run for my life. I left them and was teased to be a TRUE friend because of that. Haha. (Sorry na.. Please.. =P ) We passed time like yayas on day-offs just to shoo him away.

He left us after 15 minutes or so — only then we were able to breathe normally again. Off we went for some more photo ops. =)

Side story: I want a new cam!

On our way back to the lodge, I noticed that most men that we meet along the way LOOKS into women’s eyes directly. As if searching for one-night stands. Freaky!
